With over 45 years of experience in the energy industry, I have dedicated my career to delivering innovative solutions in power systems, pipelines, renewable technologies, and project management. My mission is to help clients bridge the gap between technical challenges and successful execution.

Proven Project Development Group
David Greeson founded Proven Project Development Group (PPDG) in 2018, following his retirement from NRG Energy, Inc. and the successful completion of the Petra Nova carbon capture project, which was delivered on time and on budget. At NRG, David was Vice President of Development, where he led the Gulf Coast business development group and the company’s carbon capture program. His expertise, gained through the development, financing, construction, and operation of the $1 billion Petra Nova project near Houston, TX, is now available to companies planning CO2 capture projects through PPDG.

David’s power industry career spans 44 years, beginning at Houston Lighting & Power. Over that time, he has successfully developed five major power projects in the U.S., representing over $3 billion in investment.
PPDG is dedicated to helping emerging industrialized countries access their domestic energy resources, including fossil fuels, to power their growth. Through carbon capture, these countries can tap into their energy reserves while working toward carbon reduction goals. The company has focused its efforts in South Asia, adding two key team members: Samantha Greeson, Vice President of Business Development – Asia, and Brett Walker, Vice President of Communications. Both are based in South Asia to support engagement with local industrial, mineral resource, and power companies, as well as government ministries.
Tom Ratza
Tom Ratza brings over 45 years of experience in project development and energy management. As an associate and advisor to Hunt International Energy Services, he provides independent consulting services to clients within the ERCOT electricity market in Texas. Throughout his career, Tom has held pivotal roles in leading organizations, demonstrating a diverse range of expertise in energy management, business development, and power generation.

At Kaiser Aluminum, he focused on business development and marketing initiatives, driving strategic growth. In Old Town Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Tom led restoration projects, combining technical knowledge with a dedication to community development. While at Boston Controls, he developed energy management projects that enhanced efficiency and sustainability. His work with Columbia Gas/Atlantic Electric centered on managing cogeneration project development, showcasing his ability to spearhead innovative energy solutions.
Tom’s experience also includes roles at Tenneco Power, where he was instrumental in the development of cogeneration and power generation projects, and at Duke Energy North America, where he contributed to the advancement of thermal and wind energy projects, aligning with the shift toward renewable energy.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science from Saint Mary’s College, which provided the foundation for his impactful career in the energy industry. His dedication to innovation and sustainability has consistently delivered value for clients and organizations alike.
David Schultz
David Schultz brings 40 years of diverse experience across power generation, natural gas, renewables, and emerging energy technologies. Currently, he provides consulting services to energy companies, leveraging his expertise in sectors such as LNG, underground natural gas storage, hydrogen, and renewables like solar, wind, and geothermal.

Throughout his career, Mr. Schultz has consulted on projects including the acquisition of a $500M underground storage facility, divestiture of industrial LNG manufacturing assets, development of the largest U.S. green hydrogen project in Utah, and natural gas storage and LNG import projects. He also co-founded New World Fuels, focusing on LPG and LNG imports to Mexico, and held senior roles such as Senior Vice President at LNG America and founding executive of Pivotal LNG. At Pivotal LNG, he built the company into one of the largest suppliers of LNG for U.S. terrestrial markets.
Mr. Schultz has extensive power generation experience, overseeing projects with combined cycle turbines and reciprocating engines, commissioning over $3B in power infrastructure. His background includes a leadership role in a $2B, 840-mile pipeline project in western North America. A graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Political Science, Mr. Schultz began his energy career at San Diego Gas and Electric.
David Cole
David Cole brings over 38 years of experience in nuclear and nuclear weapons management. As an advisor to Hunt International Energy Services, he offers independent consulting with a unique perspective on nuclear operations and practices in high-consequence environments.

David has extensive expertise in manufacturing operations, nuclear safety, explosive safety, and non-destructive evaluation. He held leadership roles in weapons assembly, disassembly, and testing, gaining hands-on knowledge from the ground up. At the Pantex Plant, he served in key leadership positions, overseeing engineering, weapons operations, high explosives fabrication, formality of operations, and emergency management. He retired as the Senior Director of Weapons Operations.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Engineering from West Texas A&M University, equipping him with a diverse understanding of operations and manufacturing processes. Throughout his career, he maintained a DOE “Q” clearance.
